New Song, New Remix: Noise Machine (Rojava Revolution Remix)

female:pressure, a network for women in electronic music that I’m part of, has launched an awareness and solidarity campaign for the cantons of Rojava (located in northern Syria), where women participate on all levels of decision making and building a new society from scratch, with built-in social, racial and ethnic justice, religious freedom, ecological principles and equality between the sexes.

With a series of music, media and sound art to listen, dance and fight to, we would like to send our love and strength to these women and spread a positive message in support of their efforts. I’ve contributed with a remix of one of my own songs.

Also check out the other submissions. And if you’re a musician/producer yourself, why not get involved and contribute as well?

Interview, Video & New Song Snippet on WaveDNA

madeleine-bloom-studio-s

Recently I was interviewed by WaveDNA about my music and the way I produce music. I also show how I use their software Liquid Rhythm to speed up my workflow for beats on my new and unfinished song ‘Tipping Point’. Here’s a snippet of its last chorus if you’d like a sneak peek…

Read the interview and watch the video on WaveDNA’s blog.

Redesigned Website & New Instrumental “Epicycle”

It took quite a while to move the domain, but here it is… my redesigned website, now fully responsive for your viewing pleasure even on mobile devices. Try it out! Pretty good, isn’t it? I hope you like the new design I came up with as much as I do.

While the summer slump is in full force with major heatwaves washing over us, here’s a little instrumental I recently made. It’s called “Epicycle” and is probably better suited for nighttime listening than on a hot summer day. What do you think?

x,
Mads

Collaboration with Dustmotes – Free Download

Early this year I recorded vocals and some glitchy Rhodes for Dustmotes‘ song ‘Horror Vacui’. At that time I was working full-time on Sonic Bloom so it was a welcome creative outlet. Writing the lyrics was very easy, because the dark winter mood fit perfectly.

Now Dustmotes’ new album is out on the netlabel Dusted Wax featuring me on the title track.

Here comes vBlog #4

Hello, I’m back after a relaxing holiday in Southern Germany with a new song idea. It has the working title ‘Cheer up’. After coming up with it only yesterday I already play and sing the first verse live for you. Also in there a preview of my first own font amongst other things.

Not so much rambling this time either. I dare say I’m starting to really get the hang of this video thing. I hope you enjoy it!
